Outlook Mobile App is using my default outlook.com address when emailing

I use the Outlook mobile app as well as a registered Outlook app on my other devices. When sending email to myself from the mobile, it ends up in my Junk mail folder showing that it came from my default outlook.com address rather than my primary email address. How can this be fixed?

If this is about different accounts, then the answer from TaoLi is accurate.

If this is about multiple aliases for a single account, the you need to change your default "Send From" alias. You do it using Outlook Web, but the change will take effect on all of your Outlook clients.

If you see a [Sign in] button - do it.

Email aliases -> Set default From address

    • Select your the alias you want to use as your default "From".

Hi , first check Outlook on your phone under Settings > Mail (or Email) > Default Account. If your usual email account is listed, select it and send yourself a new test message.

For the message already in Junk, open it, tap the three dots and choose “Move to Inbox.
