automatically add the current date and time to my email signature whenever I reply to an email in Outlook

I’m looking for a way to have the signature automatically show the date and time when the email is actually sent, for example:

Sent: September 27, 2026, 8:30 AM

The reason is that I sometimes use the Schedule Send feature in Outlook. For example, I may write and reply to an email at 8:30 AM but schedule it to be sent at 2:00 PM. In that case, I would like the signature to automatically show 2:00 PM, rather than the time when I originally wrote the reply.

I understand that Outlook already shows the received/sent time in the email header, but I’d like to have the actual sending date and time displayed directly in the email body/signature as well, so the recipient can easily see it.

Is there any built-in Outlook feature that can do this automatically?

    Dear Beckons Oslo,

Unfortunately, there is currently no built-in Outlook feature that can automatically insert the actual send date and time into the email body or signature when a message is sent. Outlook signatures are typically added when you compose the message, not when the message is ultimately delivered.

I agree that this would be a valuable feature, especially for users who frequently use Schedule Send. Therefore, I recommend submitting feedback to the Microsoft Product Team. Customer feedback is reviewed by the Outlook product team and helps influence future feature enhancements.‌ You can submit feedback directly from Outlook by going to: Help > Feedback.

To ensure your feedback reaches the right teams, you can also submit your feedback directly to Microsoft Ideas · Community, where Microsoft's product development team can know your requirements and ideas for product improvements.

If you have any questions or if I have misunderstood anything, please feel free to reach out.
