I'm trying to sign up to an Azure subscription, and card verification won't accept my debit card. It's the same card on my Microsoft account, and I don't understand why it keeps telling me to make sure the information entered is correct, which it is correct.

Hi Daniel,

Azure supports Visa and Mastercard debit cards in India. A debit card being linked to your Microsoft account does not guarantee that it will pass Azure's verification.

Please check these first:

The card must not be prepaid or virtual.

The name, billing address, and CVV must match your bank records.

The country/region and billing address in Azure must match the card.

Make sure the card is active and enabled for international transactions.

If the verification page behaves incorrectly, try InPrivate/Incognito or another browser and allow third-party cookies.

If all details are correct and the card is supported but verification still fails, the decline may be coming from the card issuer or Azure's payment verification system. In that case, Azure Billing Support can check the signup attempt
