Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

Have you tried using an external mouse to check if the issue is on the hardware side? While waiting for your response, let us manually roll back the touchpad driver:

-Press the Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

-Expand Mice and other pointing devices

    -Look for your touchpad driver

    -Right-click and click Update Driver

-Select Browse my computer for drivers

-Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

-Choose an old driver or another driver name, then select it and click Next until it installs.

    -Restart the PC and check.

Note: If the issue persists, please download and install a touchpad driver and/or a firmware update from your manufacturer's website.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Close open apps If the cursor becomes smooth after closing apps, too many open apps may be interfering with the mouse connection or overall PC performance.
    2. Check power or battery
      • If this is a Bluetooth mouse, go to Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and check the reported battery level.
      • If it is a wireless mouse with replaceable batteries, replace or recharge them.
      • If the device shows a blinking red light or no light, turn it off and on again. If that does not help, replace or recharge the batteries.
    3. Restart the PC Restarting refreshes drivers, especially if updates were recently installed.
    4. Adjust mouse pointer settings Go to:
      • Windows 11: Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse
      • Windows 10: Start > Settings > Devices > Mouse
If needed, open Additional mouse options > Pointer Options and adjust the pointer speed.
    5. Check for Windows updates Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install available updates.
    6. Update the mouse driver
      • Type check for updates in the taskbar search box and open Check for updates.
      • Under Windows Update, select Check for updates.
      • If needed, type device manager in search, open Device Manager, find the mouse device, open it, select the Driver tab, and choose Update Driver.
    7. If it is a built-in touchpad or internal pointing device, test the hardware If the pointer still freezes, test with an external mouse. If the external mouse works normally, the built-in pointing device may need service.

If the issue is only a short delay after not using a Bluetooth mouse for 8–10 minutes, that can be normal because Bluetooth devices may enter hibernation to save battery.
