A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi @Leqi Zhao
A Word document’s creation date can appear one day later than its last modified date because the two dates may record different events.
The Date modified generally reflects when the document’s contents were last saved. However, the Date created may reflect when the current copy was downloaded, copied, extracted, restored, or placed on the current computer. For example, if a document was last edited on one day and then downloaded or copied to another location the following day, Windows may assign the new copy a later creation date while preserving its earlier modified date.
A one-day difference may also occur because of a time-zone conversion, particularly if the document was saved, uploaded, or downloaded close to midnight.
For additional document metadata recorded by Word:
- Open the document in Word.
- Go to File > Info.
- Select Properties > Advanced Properties.
-
- Open the Statistics tab.
-
Depending on the document and version of Word, this section may show information such as the creation and modification dates, revision number, total editing time, and the person who last saved the document.
However, please note that these properties should be considered supporting information rather than definitive proof of authorship or the exact amount of time someone actively worked on the document. Copying, downloading, converting, or creating a document from another file can affect its metadata.

If the document was stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, Version History may provide more useful supporting information about earlier versions and modification activity. Other supporting records, such as submission receipts, email attachments, backups, and earlier copies, should also be preserved.

I hope this helps clarify the situation. If you have any additional information or questions, please feel free to reply.
