Cannot install the Office I purchased years ago onto my new PC. It says that my Product key was redeemed already.

    Hello

It sounds like you purchased from third party and were given the code back then? The code was for you to redeem it so it can be associated with your account. Once associated, the code is no longer needed. Hence, when you use it again, it will tell you it was already redeemed.

You should be able to just install from your account.

    Please go to https://www.office.com

Sign into the Microsoft account you used for the subscription. Click on the 9-dot icon on the upper left > More apps.

Then on the upper right, click on "Install apps". This will now download the installer file. Once downloaded, click on the file to install. It will install the Desktop version of the apps for you then.

That message usually means the product key was already redeemed and linked to a Microsoft account. The key is not used again for reinstalling Office.

    Use this path instead:

    1. Sign in to Services & subscriptions with the Microsoft account that was originally used to redeem Office.
    2. Look for the Office product under purchased products.
    3. Select Install to download and reinstall Office on the new PC.
    4. After installation, open an Office app and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate it.

    Important details:

    • Office.com/setup or Microsoft365.com/setup is for redeeming a new, unused product key.
    • If the key shows already been used, that does not mean Office cannot be installed again.
    • If the product does not appear in Services & subscriptions, the wrong Microsoft account is likely being used.
    • If this was a volume license version or obtained through a workplace program, installation steps can be different and an IT department may need to help.
    • If the issue still is not resolved, contact Microsoft support.
