I get how frustrating it is when your payment is rejected, Robin Raine,

That said, for now this is not enough information for me to give you a suitable guidance. Could you provide a little more detail about what happens when you try to renew?

    • What payment method are you using, such as a credit/debit card/PayPal?
    • Is there an error message or error code? If so, please provide the exact wording.
    • Is the payment actually being declined, or does the renewal/payment page fail to proceed?
    • Which subscription are you trying to renew (Microsoft 365 Personal/Family, or Microsoft 365 business)?

Normally, for a personal subscription, you can visit Services & subscriptions and check whether Microsoft shows Pay now, an outstanding balance, or another action required. If yes, you would need to settle that first.

If the payment still gets rejected, check with your bank/card provider. Sometimes they may require additional identity verification or may block the transaction for security reasons. If everything should be correct:

    1. Visit Contact Us - Microsoft Support > Sign in
    2. Enter / choose an issue > click Get Help to make request
    3. Scroll down to bottom > click Contact Support to connect to an agent
    4. Select Billings and payments... > continue and you should reach the chat option.

Note: The support contact team only works at certain times, so if the last window shows that it's unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. This way, they can call you and help you.

I wish I could be a greater help in your situation, but account and payment-related issues often involve privacy information. Microsoft Q&A is just a community platform, we do not have access to such sensitive personal data to manually investigate or make changes to your account. Contributors here can only suggest on what's best to do.
