In my MS Learn profile the First name field and last name field includes both my First name and Last name. I need to fix First name to include First Name and Last name field to include my last name only.

My Official Name as per passport:
First Name: xx ww
LastName : yy

MS Learn Profile :
FirstName: xxyy
Middle Name: ww
Last Name: xxyy

I am unable to fix it in MS Learn profile settings.

If the profile fields can’t be corrected in Microsoft Learn settings, use this path:

    1. Open Microsoft Learn profile Settings.
    2. Check Legal Name and Display Name separately.
      • Legal Name is used for identity verification for certification exams and must match the government-issued ID used at the exam.
      • Display Name is the name shown on the public profile, certificates, and transcripts.
    3. If the issue is only how the name appears publicly, update Display Name in:
      • Profile icon → Settings
      • Under Personal info, username, and URL, update Display name
      • Select Save
    4. If the incorrect split between first name and last name affects the Legal Name and it cannot be edited in settings, contact Credentials support from the Learn profile flow. When an exam is already booked, Learn shows a message and link to contact support for legal name changes.

    Important details:

    • The legal name must match the passport or other government-issued ID for exam verification.
    • If access to the Learn profile is through a work or school account and there are account-related issues, work with the workplace or school IT administrator.
    • In Microsoft systems generally, name fields are user-visible and can appear differently across products depending on whether apps use first/last name or display name.
