Excel Sheet1 suddenly won't allow drag, copy, or paste

I have an Excel workbook with a Sheet1 containing many important formulas and calculations.

Recently, I noticed that I cannot drag formulas, copy/paste cells, or fill cells on Sheet1. However, these functions work normally on other sheets in the same workbook and in a new Excel workbook.

I have already checked the following:

Sheet1 is not protected.

Copy/paste works normally on other sheets.

Copy/paste works in a new Excel workbook.

I removed the external links, but the problem still remains.

I checked the conditional formatting rules.

The problem occurs throughout Sheet1, not just in one particular column.

The sheet contains many formulas, so I don't want to rebuild it from scratch.

What could be causing this problem, and how can I fix Sheet1 without losing or recreating all of the existing formulas and formatting?

This sounds like a recent known bug - which has been fixed via some updates.

However, before we determine that this is indeed related to the recent bug, can you clarify one thing - you said you checked conditional rules - is there any conditional rule on this sheet, or none?

    What's your current Excel version?
