How to specify the font size in Notepad

Another answer posted here says that the Notepad "menu bar" has an option for font size. Here's and image of what I think is the menu bar in the file that I want to change:

specify font size in Notepad

But I don't see a "font size" option.

Thanks for your help,

Hi, @Phillip Richcreek

No, it doesn’t. The bar shown in your screenshot does not have a font-size option.

The “H1” shown there is a heading style, not the font size.

To change the font size in Notepad:

  • Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  • Expand “Font.”
  • Change the “Size” setting.

If you only want to change the large text shown in your screenshot back to normal text, select it and change “H1” to the normal paragraph style.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

Thanks!

    Hello,

Yes, that is the menu bar. If you click the gear icon, you should see a section called "Text formatting". Here, you are able to adjust your font size, word wrap, and formatting.

    I hope this information helps.
