Family account invite stuck on Pending - can't access the shared account.

Question

Hello, I have a family 365 account. Sent an invite to a family member, they joined, but the account won't let them login. And my manage account page is stuck on Pending invite.

Anyone know what is going on?

Have they already opened the invitation, signed in with the exact Microsoft account you invited, and selected "Join now"?

Microsoft says the invite will show as "Pending invite" while waiting to be accepted, and the invitation needs to be accepted within 48 hours. Once they successfully join the family group, the Microsoft 365 subscription dashboard should update.

If they already selected "Join now" but it still shows as pending, what happens when they try to sign in? Do they get any exact error message?
