SSRS Linked Report Using A Linked Report

I have a linked report that works fine. It uses another linked report functioning as a drill through report. The "drill through" linked report fails with a permissions error.

If you run the "drill through" linked report by itself it works fine.

I think the problem is that the first linked report, when you click the "drill through" is looking back to the hidden folder where I keep the linked reports rather than at the "drill through" linked report that is stored in the same folder as the first one.

How can I fix this?

Thanks

Hi @TimSimon-4739 ,
When you open the linked report A and the linked report B separately, everything is normal, but when you open the linked report A that contains the drill-through linked report B, you receive a permission error, is it right?
Linked reports are conceptually similar to the program shortcuts you use to run programs or open files.
A linked report is derived from an existing report and retains the original's report definition. A linked report always inherits report layout and data source properties of the original report. All other properties and settings can be different from those of the original report, including security, parameters, location, subscriptions, and schedules.
How do you set up the "drill through" operation you created on the link report? Can you share your steps? And what is the permission error you are currently receiving?
Best Regards,
Joy
