O365 - Outlook email not in ascending order

I have several seperate accounts in O365 and have always sorted conversations and ascending order. Now i get emails out of order on each of these seperate O365 instances. Are there additional settings to get back to the way i used to be able to use conversations? Now it is just more confusing than helpful?????

Hi @StevenPatterson-6077,

Before we go on, could you elaborate the things below so that we can understand better about your situation?

  1. Are you using Outlook client or you are accessing Outlook on the web(OWA) via outlook.office.com/owa using your work or school accounts in Microsoft 365? If you meant Outlook desktop client, please try to collect the detailed version of the Outlook via File > Office Account > About Outlook.

  2. By "sorted conversations and ascending order", do you mean group by conversations and sorted by "Newest on top"? If this is the case, assuming you are using OWA, please go to Settings > Conversation View to verify the configuration:

If you are using Outlook desktop client, you can select the message folder like Inbox, then go to View > View Settings and see if the "Group By" and "Sort" settings are as follows:
