StorageSyncAgent_WS2012R2 setup on Windows server 2012 R2 failure, it prompt "Storage Sync Agent Setup Wizard ended prematurely"

    Follow the article but cannot solve the problem. A log file is created and uploaded for troubleshoot.

    There is interested from the log, may be some existing files version conflict to prevent the msi package installation and rollback. Pls adv., thank you

    Thank you for Manish Duggal from Microsoft to find out the solution, show below:

    1. Check if the agent is installed using Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs
    2. If it is NOT installed, then please delete any files under C:\Program Files\Azure\StorageSyncAgent
    3. If agent is not installed, then open the Task Scheduler and delete the StorageSync node
    4. Open a command prompt and type the following commands
      • LODCTR /S:lodctr_backup_<datetime>.ini
      • LODCTR /R (if executed but failure, go into the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and try again)
      • fltmc unload storagesync (if executed but not find, ignore)
      • fltmc unload storagesyncguard (if executed but not find, ignore)
    5. Reboot the machine
    6. Try the agent reinstall

    hi guys, im having the same issue. I have try to simulate the same results on my test lab. the test lab 2012R2 works. so i went through the 5000 lines of logs. and the only real change I see what differs from the working 1 with the non working 1:

    working 1:

    trying to see what that means but please help or shed some light on it if you guys know what that means "Property(C): IsMUEnrolled = 1"
