Adding new nodes to an existing cluster

Question

Our cluster is running with four nodes and we are planning to add two more. However, the two new nodes does not have exactly the same configuration. Instead of having a 4-port 1GbE NIC like the old nodes, the new nodes come with 2x 1GbE and 2x 10GbE NICs. All the nodes will host hyper-v with failover and use the NICs to communicate with external devices. Can the new nodes be added to the cluster without problem? Will hyper-v failover continue to work too?

Hi,

As long as the node can pass the validate process, the hardware will be validated in that step. In addition, uncheck storage when validating, so that it will not affect the cluster.
