Microsoft Team - sign-in error

Split from this thread.

We are having a similar issue with our corporate E5 licenses.  Some users CAN login, others simply get a sign-in error.  Makes no sense as it clearly is enabled as some can log in.  I have verified that they do have a license.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Cripken2,

About the sign-in error, do you mean the same error as below?

To further investigate the issue, I’d like to confirm the following information:

    1. Go to http://teams.microsoft.com/downloads and download the desktop client. After that, log into the client to check if it works.
    2. About those one who cannot login Teams, do they use the same browsers as others? Please share what browsers they are using and the versions of browsers with us. (Note: Microsoft Teams supports the web client on Microsoft Edge 12+, IE 11+, Firefox 47.0+ and Chrome 51.0+.)
    3. Let those problematic users switch one of the PCs of some users who can login successfully to do the sign-in, is there any improvement?

More information in Introducing Microsoft Teams—the chat-based workspace in Office 365.

    Thanks,

    Lance

No, we get this.  Also, others can log in without issue.

    Hi Cripken2,

Thanks for your reply. Now I understand that some users encounter the sign-in error on iPhone.

I’d like to clarify that Microsoft Teams is available on the following mobile platforms:

    IOS 9.0+, Android 4.4+, Windows Phone 10.0.10586+.

From the screenshot, I noticed that you are trying to connect the Microsoft Teams app through WiFi. It is suggested that you change the network environment to check if there is any improvement.

Also, we will appreciate it if you can provide following information so that we can try reproducing the issue on our side.

    1. The iOS version. Please make sure it is 9.0+.
    2. The Microsoft Teams app version.
    3. One problematic account which meets the Sign-in-error. Please share it with us via the link below, and we will check the account status for you and do more analysis.

    Hi Cripken2,

Thanks for providing the account in private message. We have checked it and found that all the required licenses for Microsoft Teams has been assigned to this account.

In order to proceed, we still need some information below to narrow down the root cause:

    1. The iOS version. Please make sure it is 9.0+.
    2. The Microsoft Teams app version on mobile device.
    3. Does the issue persist if the user signs in on Teams web page? Here is the URL to access Teams - https://teams.microsoft.com
    4. It is suggested that you change another network environment instead of Wi-Fi to check if there is any improvement.

    Best Regards,

    Lance
