DataSync automatic schedule does not sync on schedule

Question

I have had a issue where automatic sync will not trigger on the schedule. I have tried to refresh the schema, however that did not do the trick this time. It has in the past.

There are not error messages or log, sync will simply not trigger, unless I manually click the sync button in the top left.
Any ideas?

The resolution was for MS azure sql team had to go in and remove an extra copy of the metadata that had somehow duplicated within my configuration. Its possible that a prior setup was never fully deleted or something else. I dont have more details other than its now fixed.
I also dont think it would have been possible for me to fix, besides for dropping everything and setting up again.

Alternatively, you can also use an Azure Automation Account to schedule a sync as explained here.

Thanks for the suggestion, however I would think that the basics of sync would be the frequency triggering automatically. That is not working, no matter what I try. I tried to create a support ticket, but went in circles around index de fragmentation. I could not see the relevance in that conversation. Your suggestion may actually be the only option left.
