Want to lower default sample rate for all audio

Hi. I have a single-purpose computer that needs an audio sampling rate (input) of 16,000 or 34,000. I would like to change this in the registry so it works on all cards. How do I do this?

    Hello @Susan Cragin

look at this thread in the MSDN Microsoft Forum:

Changing audio device sample rate via PKEY_AudioEngine_DeviceFormat
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsdesktop/en-US/e2e9858f-9bf5-4400-8a4e-570fa3285aad/changing-audio-device-sample-rate-via-pkeyaudioenginedeviceformat-does-not-work?forum=windowssdk

It is worth checking the methods described. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it.

Hope this helps with your query!
