How to replace SearchHost.exe?

Just upgraded to Win11, no search features in explorer are working, no SearchHost.exe is running or seems to exist in my brief search of windows/system32 folders (without a search feature, naturally), running troubleshooters had no effect, updating to latest beta branch didn't work, resetting the Cortana app had no effect. Short of a reformat, is there anything I can do to get SearchHost up and running?

Hi there,

Cortana has been removed in the Windows 11 . I can see you are still the Dev version of Windows 11 . The stable version has been rolled out and you can try getting the stable version and this will sort most of the issues.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to open Task Manager. Go into the Details tab and right-click SearchHost.exe. Select End task, and then confirm with End process. Once it disappears from Task Manager, try restarting the PC and opening the search window again.

Then I would suggest a reset of the PC. In settings go to System, then select Recovery.
Select Reset this PC, then click on the Reset PC button.
Select cloud install and this will surely sort the Issue.
