Change the default content type in the properties form of a sharepoint

Hello everyone,

Hope you're doing well,

My problem:

I would like to set the second content type in the properties form of a SharePoint List as default.

I have the SharePoint properties form as you can see below in the picture.

So my request is how can I set the Project manager content type as default instead of document because when ever I open a new form the document content types is the one set to default

What's the best practice function to use to achieve the above result?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Go to List settings -> Content Types section -> Change new button order and default content type -> Set Position from Top for Project manager content type.
