the system can't find the file specified

I am trying to install BitLocker on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M700. I wiped the drive (deleted all partitions) and reinstalled windows from an image which worked on another system. When I try to load BitLocker I get the message "the system cannot find the file specified" what file? Is there a way to reinstall just BitLocker? Has anyone found a fix for this error? I have checked with Google and followed all suggestions, ie: make sure all updates are installed, run a SFC scan (no corruption found) etc

thanks!

    Hello @Richard Famiglietti

This usually happens when the file C:\Windows\System32\Recovery\ReAgent.xml is corrupt or inaccessible. It seems plausible that there is some "corruption" as the image was ported from a different hardware.

The solution is to rename or delete the file (it will be recreated!) when restarting and trying to enable bitlocker again.

Hope this helps with your query,
