Hello.

Any recommendations for Image Deployment on a Hyper V Virtual Environment. I do have Domain controllers with Windows Server 2012 R2. Is it best to upgrade to Azure AD and use Microsoft Intune to deploy the images or use a standard Windows Deployment Server

Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Agree with Jason here. In Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Deployment Services can be configured for stand-alone mode or for Active Directory integration. In most scenarios, the Active Directory integration mode is the best option. You can also try MDT or Configuration Manager for more flexibility.

    Best regards,
    Simon

Intune does not deploy OS images and your use of AD or Azure AD is irrelevant.

You can use any standard image deployment method for virtual machines as long as you have console access to them -- there's nothing special about a VM otherwise.
