Hi,
Understand that Windows 2016 VMs installed through Azure Gallery don't have the SMB1 feature and it cant be added through the add feature option.
Could you pls suggest how we can add SMB1 in Azure Windows 2016 VMs which are installed through Azure Gallery image? SMB1 is critical for some of the legacy apps and need it for some time till it is renediated.
Regards
Mahesh

Hi @Mahesh Aralelemath ,
Indeed the SMBv1 is disabled by default on the Azure Gallery Windows operating system images (read more here: https://azure.microsoft.com/es-es/blog/smb-version-1-disabled-azure-gallery-windows-operating-system-images/).
There is a way of enabling it but it will require a bit of work, below you'll find a couple of guides which goes through the process of enabling SMBv1 on Azure VMs step-by-step:

Hi All,
We raised ticket with MS also to check the feasibility of enabling SMB1 in Azure Galley Windows 2016 images but MS team confirmed that it is not possible to enable SMB1 if the VM is installed using Azure Gallery image.
Hence, this stands as No SMB1 in Azure Gallery image and we might try with onprem image if required.
