    Hi,

    • What is the make and model of the computer?

nvspcap64.dll and shadow play are files related to NVidia but to confirm this let's place the computer in Clean boot state to find out the exact software that is causing this issue on Startup.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Once done troubleshooting, place the computer back to normal mode by following the steps mentioned in "How to reset the computer to start as usual after clean boot troubleshooting "

If the issue is confirmed with NVidia, then I would suggest you to uninstall NVidia software/drivers installed on the computer and reinstall them from the computer manufacturer website and check.

    • Go to Device Manager with the help of Search Charms.
    • Browse Display adapters, right click on NVidia and click on Uninstall.
    • Restart the computer and then Windows will automatically try to install the drivers. If it fails, then check for Windows update and install the NVidia drivers offered.

Let us know if this helps.

    I have the same problem

after upgrading from Win 8 Prof to win 8.1 Prof

windows update offered installation of new driver for Display driver

After installtion I get this Error every time I start computer and also a couple of BLU Screens

every day, that I nevwer saw before with windows 8

I already tried to install older display driver , that I used with windows 8 but error stays like it is

I also installed same display driver several times new without success

Couldnt find any help on NVDIA pages about this issue

Windows 8.1 also does not allow to set system to a point prior to the installation of the new display driver, maybe because it was installed right after the upgrade to 8.1

Hope that Microsoft can help !

Computer is an Apple Imac 27 from 2013

that I use only with windows software

After additional testing i found out that the problem was not caused by the display driver, but by the NVDIA Audio Drivers that installed automatic with the display driver update

I deleted those audio drivers and the problem disappeared

    Alfred,

Can you pass along how you went about doing that? I do not use any audio portion of the video card, and if it is truly the audio driver, I have no use for it. I have tried in vain to remove the entire package and reinstall, but I keep getting the .dll error. Thanks.
