xdate function in excel for the mac

Hi I am trying to use xdate to display the year to me prior to 1900 . but somehow it isnt working on my excel.i have a mac so is it something to do with that? because i entered the most basic xdate(y.m,d) format. can someone pls help. thanks :)

    Hii I actually did all of that and have used the stuffit expander and got the add-in for it. but it still doesnt work when i use the function. it gives me #value. so i dont know how to proceed. can u help me pls:)

    XDate is a WinXL add-in function developed by XL guru John Walkenbach.

    I adapted the add-in for MacXL200x (x<=4) - you can download it at John's site.

    At the time, the standard Mac compression method was Stuffit Expander's .sit format, so you may need to use the (free) stuffit expander to unpack it.

    I haven't needed it with XL2011, but I haven't been told it doesn't work - post back if it needs to be updated.
