Windows 11 USB 3.0 failing with External hard drive during Read/Write

I recently purchased a Yottamaster external raid with 2 hard drives that connects with a 3.0 data transfer cable and has it's own power supply. I have a custom-built PC on windows 11 with a designare z390 rev 1. When I initially plug it into any port, it works fine and properly reads the hard drive. However, during any read/write action, it freezes my PC and disconnects the enclosure. I've checked the event viewer logs and find numerous event ID 153, 157 and 129s. I've tested the hard drives directly to the sata port and both work fine. I've connected the enclosure to another PC with Windows 10 and it works even better than the hard drive directly connected to the sata port. I'm honestly not sure if this is a motherboard port issue, a windows OS issue, Windows settings or a powersupply issue. It seems that the ports aren't giving enough power OR they are being throttled somehow. Any assistance in troubleshooting from here would be greatly appreciated.

Having the same issue with a Hitachi 2TB desktop external USB3.0 HDD on a brand new Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 with Windows 11.
    Factory specs: Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6 82K100LVUS 15.6" 120 Hz IPS Intel Core i5 11th Gen 11300H (3.10 GHz) NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU 8GB Memory 256 GB PCIe SSD Windows 11 Home 64-bit Gaming Laptop. 2xUSB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) Type-A ports 1xUSB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) Type-C port.

When on my new windows 11 laptop it registers fine when the USB3.0 cable is plugged in then mid way through use it disconnects and reconnects. Alternatively It works fine on my older laptop with window 10 via it's usb 3.0 port.

looking for a fix for this problem.
