I have purchased two new phones since leaving my company. The Company Portal app Intune continues to indicate the app was installed by the company. Not possible. My company does not acknowledge the existence of this product and not helpful. Since I am no longer an employee. I should be able to remove the app. Even if I was an employee the app should just remove all company assets from the phone if exists. I am told the only way to remove the app is from the company and they are not helping. I have disabled the app. At the moment it is not getting in the way. There was a time when after a period of inactivity it forced an update. After the update it partially locked the phone. I have always been able to get out of that issue. My fear is even disabled an update or change of policy could wake up the app. Microsoft, or someone I want this virus of an app removed from my phone. It should know the phone is not owned by any company and as a new phone cannot hold company assets. This is not the way to run an app. If my company never does anything I am locked into this app? This is very bad. Please help me remove Intune from my phone!!!

Intune is like a virus. I believe it is associated with my Microsoft account. I got a new phone. The equivalent of a reset. I actually did a reset. Planned to manually add back my 300 apps...yuk. Except the reset installed about five apps. One of which was Intune. I think the only option without the help of my previous company is to setup a new Microsoft account. That would be such a mess.
Microsoft, Intune should know it is a new phone and also personal and ask if I want Intune installed. This is sick.
Did you purchase the phones from the company before leaving or are were they purchased from a retail unit?
This and the previous phone were a personal purchase. There is no connection to the company. I think if I change my Microsoft login it will fix the issue. But that will require a lot of work and a lot of pain.
If these are personal purchases then how did the company portal app show up on them? Did you install by yourself? If yes, then you should be able to uninstall as well.
