Hi ... I am looking at this posting and your advice. I have the same "Error :50 dism doesn't support servicing windows PE with the /online option".  I followed your advice in running the dism.exe ... revertpending actions.  The dism command worked. I then rebooted into safe mode (I am having start-up issues), but when I try to run SFC /scannow it again tells me that "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."  I get a similar message when trying to run DISM Restore Health.   It looks like the system I am still in protected mode.  One user's advice was to reset the MININT key in the registry after ensuring permissions are active for users.  I have not done that tough. Wanted to check with you to see if you have any other suggestions. I started experiencing problems after an update in November after which I stating getting a message to "activate windows" and then a couple of days later it wouldn't allow me to boot into Windows.  Appreciate your advice. Kevin
