report viewer gray out in visual studio 2017 vb.net

Good days sir , I have difficulties in using report viewer in visual studio 2017 .

I had done the troubleshooting using videos at YouTube but the error messages were "make sure the controls to add are compatible with the current designer and .NET framework version".

and the report viewer are gray out. can someone help me with this problem ?

    Please check your .NET Framework version and the versions of these things below.

    • Microsoft RDLC Report Designer in Extensions.
    • Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportViewerControl.WinFroms in NuGet Package Manager.

    It is recommended to upgrade to their latest version to avoid compatibility issues.
