SharePoint Promote News Feature-What is different about a site's features when it reads "Update News" instead of "Republish" when I want to save my edits? Do I lose any features if I use a news page that will be updated instead of a site page? Additionally, is it possible to revert from a News post page back to a site page?

Thanks!
Matthew

    @Matthew Shuster ,

    When you promote a modern page as a news post page, you won’t lose any functionality:

    We cannot change a News post page back to a site page, as a workaround, if we want to create a page from existing news post, we'll have to create a page template based on your news post, and then create a page using that template.Here's how:

    1. Go to the posted news post that you want to change into a page.
    2. On the top left, select Promote.
    3. In the panel that opens on the right, select Save as page template.

    4. Go to the home page for your site.
    5. Select New at the top of the page, and then select Page.
    6. Select the template you saved in Step 3.

    7. Save and publish the page.
