"Scanning and Repairing" stuck for USB Drive.

Hello,

I was inserting a USB drive I needed to use and it said that it needed to be scanned for fixes/repairs. I clicked it, and it's been 30+ minutes, and it hasn't moved. It got to about 30% complete, then it stopped completely. Are there any fixes to this or am I safe to power off my computer so it stops? Thank you!

    Hi ,

Sabya here, Independent Windows Adviser. Hope you are doing well.

If the usb is still scanning that means there is an issue with the file structure and you will need to format and fix it.

You can shutdown the pc and then safe to eject it.

In the near future please backup the drive and do a format to fix the issue.

    Regards

    Sabya
