Win10 Professional version operating system, access to the Server2016 file server. There was a 200 gigabyte folder with about 380,000 stray files. This folder will get stuck when you open it even if you wait a long time

But I test found that win10 1703 version is no problem, can be opened very smoothly. But none of the versions higher than 1703 can open this folder. I don't know if there is any place to set after 1703

The company is a domain environment, and the client only installs common Office and software, nothing else

There are other file shares in the file server that are large in capacity, except that the other folders are not scattered files. But why is there no problem with the 1703 version

    Hi,
Do you know what protocols your file server uses? It may be a problem of SMBv1 as it is no longer installed by default since version 1709. You could try to install SBMv1 following these steps

    1. Open Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features and select "Turn Windows features on or off".
    2. Select the check box “SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support”.
    3. Press OK to save changes and restart your computer.

    Hope this could be helpful.
