Windows Mail suggested I try New Outlook instead. But, my account doesn't migrate automatically, and I can't set it up. Even the advanced page of the setup wizard does not seem to allow me to have an IMAP username that is not my email address.
How do I provide a username for an IMAP account?
(I also have different credentials for my SMTP account - I'll ask now in case I can't do that either!)

Hi Diane,
Thanks, but unless I can set my IMAP username, I can't use the product at all.
Cheers,
Graham
Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today.
I don't see a way to change the credentials for incoming - but you can use different SMTP - after Outlook finds the account a page comes up for the password. Click on the Show more button. You can change servers and SMTP log in there.
