Trying to embed a short video clip from youTube into my PowerPoint 2010 presentation but after searching all over and contacting a "Live"  local expert it appears that the video is in the wrong format and will be very difficult to change so am resorting to making my own home video to illustrate my point. PowerPoint 2010 seems much more difficult to use than previous versions. I have been using it since it first became available but this version seems to be much more problematic and very slow.CC

You need to download and convert YouTube video into mp4 or wmv format and insert to PowerPoint 2010 slides easily.

I'm having similar problems with PowerPoint 2016. It crashes repeatedly no matter the format of the video that I'm trying to insert; wmv, mp4, avi, mpeg4.  Not sure what else to try other than going to another presentation software.
