When is Cosmos DB MongoDB API Version 5.0 coming?

As per my question already asked in the title I'd be interested to know when MongoDB API 5.0 will be available for Comos DB?
Mongo DB Version 5.0 offers Time Series Collections.

I'm planning to build a Time Series Database on Cosmos DB which lets me visualise data on a website via an app service.
I know that Cassandra API is probably a better fit for time series data but my team already knows MongoDB so I'd prefer to use this.

    We are committed to supporting all server-api versions for MongoDB. However, with regards to server-version 5.0 we do not have any date to share at this time.

    Options that are immediately available include Cosmos DB's Cassandra API. There are also native Azure services too such as Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) which are also very good with Time Series data.

    It has been a year this thread is running, Do we have any clue on timelines of v-5 release?

    We have a limited preview release for v5 out now. This is a vCore based model vs RU based. You can sign up from the Feature Preview tab in The Cosmos DB portal.
