When I go into the search bar, the suggested section shows up. How do I remove that and maybe replace with recent. There is very little things there that I would use. I have had my laptop over 1.5 years and still trying to tweak it so that I like it.

Hi Jiyas! Thank you for your quick reply. I followed your instructions and restarted my computer and when I went into the search bar, nothing changed. The Suggested is still listing things on the left side of the search options.
I actually opened a case awhile back and they were unable to assist. They changed something, we got disconnected and when I reconnected with another agent, same issue. (7041613197)
FYI - I want my SEARCH section fixed, not start option.
Hi DA,
I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.
Not natively it is supported to remove the stuff. But here is a workaround
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...
I believe I have found a solution for windows 10 21h2.
BeautySearch by krlvm https://github.com/krlvm/BeautySearch can be used to inject a modifiable .js file that can be used to remove suggested and top apps. Use the setting "Disable two-panel mode" to remove suggested. Then to remove top apps, navigate to where the .js is installed, for 21h2 it's installed in
"C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\cache\Local\Desktop"
named BeautySearch.js. Before you can modify it, you have to allow write access to users. Then add the script
"sa_config.enabledDataSources = ["DFLS","CUSE","QSCH","WWE","PP","IBA","ST","FEH","Web","OSTMA","QS","IFF","MPVD","MDOC","MFOL","MPHO","MVID","MMUS","ODC","MRU","MPP","MST","MFF","MRS","CG","PT","SSUE","SSUC","SSEE","SSEC","TS","ANA"];"
without the beginning and end quotes to the file. I added it to the "Disable two-panel mode" script so it can be disabled if needed. This is what mine looks like (the bracket and semicolon got cut off):
Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
