    Hi Viren,

I am Amr, an independent advisor.

Check and upgrade the firmware of your AirPods by connecting them to your iPhone or iPad and going to Settings > > General > About > AirPods.

Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter by going to Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Bluetooth.

Update Windows software by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.

Update Bluetooth drivers by going to Device Manager > Bluetooth > Right-click your Bluetooth device > Update Driver

Reinstall the Bluetooth driver by going to Device Manager > Bluetooth > Right-click your Bluetooth device > Uninstall driver, then restart your PC

I wanted to add to this discussion but the post was locked: Airpod pro is pairing and connecting to WIndows 11 but no audio - Microsoft Community

This same thing happened to me. None of those troubleshooting steps helped. This is the workaround I found.

For context, at this time I am running the following:

    • Dell Latitude 5420
    • Windows 11 pro 23H2 (completely up to date including manufacture drivers)
    • AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with MagSafe Charging Case (USB-C): Firmware version 6F8 (fully up to date at this time)
    • iPhone 12 with iOS 18 beta. The same thing happened on iOS 17 before I joined the beta program.

    Workaround that I found:

I was able to have consistent audio at this point but the second you connect it to an Apple device again it will stop working. Follow the rest of these steps to complete the workaround.

    • Disconnect from the Windows device.
    • Connect it to your Apple device
    • This will automatically rename your device to “your name’s AirPods Pro”
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth. Or go to Settings > [your AirPods].
    • Rename the device by removing “your name’s “ so they should once again be named “AirPods Pro”
    • You can reconnect to your Windows device and it should now be working.

The next thing I was going to try was between the 1^st^ and 2^nd^ half of my workaround, then go to the device manager in Windows and get a list of applicable drivers. Then I was going to connect it to my iPhone again. Then back to the computer and manually link the same drivers. Not sure if that would work but I didn’t want to waste any more time on this and I’m fine with them having the generic name.

You may also be able to change the name in Windows before joining it to the iPhone, then join it and make sure the names match again.

This is a side note but not applicable to what I said earlier. You can get rid of the “- Find My” by doing the following on an Apple device

    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth. Or go to Settings > [your AirPods].
    • If your AirPods appear there as connected, tap the More Info button next to your AirPods
    • Scroll down to the “Find My Network” option and toggle that to off. Note: I believe the “Play Sound” and “Directions” will still work but not the “Find” which shows you the far, near, and here of the device using Bluetooth.
