Sent items for shared mailbox in Outlook 2016 for Mac

Question

We have a couple of shared mailboxes where we need to save copies of sent items in the shared mailbox. I have configured the mailboxes with:

set-mailbox <mailbox name> -MessageCopyForSentAsEnabled $True

set-mailbox <mailbox name> -MessageCopyForSendOnBehalfEnabled $True

Copies of sent mail are now saved in the folder Sent Items in the shared mailbox. But I'm unable to view the Sent Items folder on Outlook 2016 for Mac. In the Windows client the folder is visible, but in the Mac client only the folder Inbox are visible. I'm opening the folder from the Open Other Users Folder-menu in Outlook.

Are there any ways to show the Sent Items folder for a shared mailbox in the Mac client?

hi glenn,

to access shared mailbox in outlook for mac, please refer to the steps below:

1. navigate to tools > accounts.
2. choose advanced.

 

3. add the shared mailbox to the box people i am delegate for.

 

after about 5 minutes, the shared mailbox will appear as below:

 

note: your account needs to be assigned the full access permission of the shared mailbox.
