How do I export my favorites in the NEW Microsoft Edge?

In the NEW Microsoft Edge that replaced the old one in late May 2020, how do I export my favorites to a file?  I have well over 2,000 favorites and I need a way to save them in case my hard drive ever goes bad.  The instructions do to this for the OLD Microsoft Edge don't work in the NEW.

Click the 3 dots at the top right of Edge, choose Favorites - Manage Favorites

Above the list of Favorites on the resulting page, beside the 'Add Folder' link, is another 3 dots, click that and choose 'Export Favorites'

The instructions for exporting Favorites are completely useless! First of all, there is NO 'Import Favorites' on the Settings menu, the Settings menu has NO option for Export, clicking on Favorites only opens the the Favorites list, and in 15 tries I have NOT found an option to Manage Favorites. While Manage Favorites was an overcomplication of a perfectly simple process in the earlier versions of Internet Explorers, "new" Edge has turned it into a disastrous failure. There's an old saying, Microsoft, that you don't seem to recognize -- "it it ain't broke, don't fix it." There doesn't seem to be much QA happening in your processes the last few years.

If you want to copy your new Chromium EDGE favorites to another computer or other device with the new Chromium EDGE browser, it is a simple matter of copying (exporting) your favorites into an HTML file, then by any means convenient to you, including email from whatever email client you use, USB thumb drive, whatever, copy that HTML file into a convenient location on the target device such as a TEMP folder, or the DOWNLOADS folder ... doesn't matter.

Next. from the Chromium EDGE browser on the target device, import the favorites from that HTML file ... all done with a click of the mouse or "finger" by navigating through the links on the new Chromium EDGE browser for managing, exporting, and importing favorites.
