Delete user profile Windows 10

I know nothing about softwares and how they work., let alone this whole OneDrive thing. I have a new notebook and I copied some files from an external hard drive. I didn't realise that it was saving everything to OneDrive. I got a message to say that my OneDrive had run out of space and thought the best thing to do would be move the files out of there. Not sure what I did but a folder was created in the c: drive and is somehow attached to the external hard drive. Under Users it shows one of the folders from the hard drive as a user. I tried to delete it since I kept getting a message that the location cannot be found for d:. It seems like the entire external hard drive was backed up by OneDrive and even though I disabled it this folder appears to have 1000s of files. I want to remove everything that is associated with this folder but nothing works. I reinstalled windows and I am still getting a message saying that the location is not available.

    4. In the User profiles window, select the user profile you want to delete and click Delete button.
    5. Confirm the request by clicking on Yes option and your profile will be deleted.

    Hello Demir

Thank you for responding. This did not work as the Delete Button does not highlight. Is it possible that the external hard drive somehow got installed on the pc?

The User Profile shows 2 Users: Default Profile 1,42mb Local and Laptop-2T …. 7,12mb - the external hard drive is 2 terrabytes so I assume that this must be it. I am the only one using the computer and it is not activated for Network Sharing.

When I look at the side panel, on the PC, it has listed eg 3D Objects - in Properties it shows c:\Users\rheha (like that) Documents Prop show c:\Users\rheha\OneDrive. Music shows only c:\Users

    Thank you

The "Delete" button probably greyed out because you're trying to delete a profile with a non-administrator profile.

You can create a new administrator account and try the process again, instructions are in the link below.
