Locking a Sharepoint list after a specific deadline

Question

I have a sharepoint online list/form that I want to lock and unlock depending on the date and time of year. There is a deadline where I do not want users to be submitting anymore items to the sharepoint after that specific day. The dates will always be the same, every year. Was wondering if there was a non-manual way to implement that into my sharepoint list.

For example: between 2/1/2022-3/1/2022, no new list items/submissions are permitted.

As per my knowledge, SharePoint does not support locking items in lists. Documents can be checked out/in but a similar concept does not exist for lists. I would suggest posting a uservocie here: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/06735c62-321c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft SharePoint products. What's more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
