When trying to update to the latest Windows 10 version in Windows update, the system shows "There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later" as the installation process reach 100%. The error code is 0x800f0982. I have tried various methods to solve this problem, including Troubleshoot, DISM and MediaCreationTool, but none of these works. Here is the information about my system:

Does the organization allow manual updates?

    Please run setupdiag:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/upgrade/setupdiag

Post a share link including all generated files.
(one drive, drop box, google drive)

Indicate if any of these non-Microsoft are installed or were recently uninstalled:
    a) antivirus
    b) firewall
    c) drive encryption

    Hello @Mikewallace

First, I would recommend you to generate the WindowsUpdate.Log with the cmdlet Get-WindowsUpdateLog. This log can help you understand what is the issue behind the final error result.
    Reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/windowsupdate/get-windowsupdatelog?view=windowsserver2022-ps

On the other hand as troubleshooting, I would recommend:

Hope this helps with your query,

Please read the links below about upgrade options for the installed Windows Edition and Version.

There are limited options for S mode.

This computer has Windows 10 Enterprise S mode version 1809.

Windows 11 in S mode is only available in the Windows 11 Home edition.

If you have the Pro, Enterprise, or Education editions of Windows 10 in S mode, Windows Update will not offer Windows 11 because S mode is not available in those editions of Windows 11.

Therefore, if you have the Pro, Enterprise or Education editions of Windows 10 in S mode, you'll need to switch out of S mode to upgrade to Windows 11.

There's no charge to switch out of S mode, but you won't be able to turn it back on.

While it’s free to switch to Windows 10 Pro, it’s not reversible.

The only way to rollback this kind of switch is through a bare-metal recovery (BMR) reset.

This restores a Windows device to the factory state, even if the user needs to replace the hard drive or completely wipe the drive clean.

If a device is switched out of S mode via the Microsoft Store, it will remain out of S mode even after the device is reset.

After reading the earlier links what do you want to do with Enterprise S mode?

If there are problems running V2 see if you can run it while in safe mode (shift + restart)
    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2304-boot-into-safe-mode-windows-10-a.html
Also run the DM log collector.

Ordinarily log troubleshooting is not performed in Microsoft Q&A.
So it may not be possible to fix the update failure without many trial and error steps.

Indicate if any of these non-Microsoft are installed or were recently uninstalled:
    a) antivirus
    b) firewall
    c) drive encryption
