Hi,

Can you please advise how I change the quick print settings for Outlook 365? On my old computer, I could click on the attachment in Outlook and it would automatically print. with my new computer, it asks How I want to open up this file and I need to select an App.

Please advise.

Many thanks

Hi WG,

Based on your description, I’d like to confirm whether you cannot view Quick Print option or cannot print attachment. On my side, you can expand the drop-down list of an attachment and select Quick Print. Detailed information like below:

If you cannot print attachment, please navigate to File > Print > Print Option to check whether the check box next to Print attached filesis ticked. For your reference: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/print-attachments-received-in-email-messages-b4250404-7431-457a-ba5c-9a1381c9b47e.

If the issue persists, please offer me more information for better understanding, such as the screenshot of the problem page and the version of Outlook client (Go to File > Office Account > About Outlook).

Best Regards,

Betty

Do you have Adobe reader or another PDF app installed and configured as the default?

Open Settings, search for default apps, select it and then choose Set default by app - find your PDF app. Select it and click Manage. Make sure it has all the defaults available for PDF.

    Hello WG,

I understand that you are having an issue with Microsoft Outlook as you are no longer able to print your attachment with one-click but instead if tries to open the file. I know how annoying this can be, no worries, I am committed to help you to resolve this issue.

I am an Independent Advisor for MS Community and I am sorry to inform you that you have posted this thread in the wrong forum. The correct forum is Office >Outlook. (You don't have to create a new thread, simply edit it!)

It is important for you to post your thread in the correct forum so that users equipped with the right expertise can better serve you.

Meanwhile, have you tried going to: File > Print > Select your default printer (or otherwise select other printers then select that printer again), then try again?

Otherwise, what is the file extension? If the attachment is a .pdf, you can open it with Microsoft Edge to print the attachment. Microsoft is investing a lot in Microsoft Edge to make it a default .pdf reader for Windows

    Hope it helps!

    Best wishes,

    Hi WG,

What is the file attachment type? It sounds like you don have an app installed that can open it.
