DHCP server Migration from 2008 R2 to 2019

Hello,

I am preparing to migrate DHCP server from Windows 2008 R2 to 2019 would like if i can do the migration in working hours and what it effects on the client machine receiving IP from DHCP server.

Please guide me the safest method for migrating DHCP server

    Should not be a problem to do. You can export / import the scope from old to new.

    The migration itself is simple. Just follow the articles provided by @Dave Patrick

    But, if you have multiple subnets / vlan in your organization, make sure that the IP Address of the new DHCP Server is configured in your switches / router (ip helper).
