Hello,
I did Azure tests at a company I worked for in the past. I think my account is registered in the organization directory. But at the moment I have no ties to the company.
I get an error when I leave the organization from the https://myaccount.microsoft.com/organizations page and click the "Leave Organization" button.
I get the error message "Failed to leave company. Please try again later". How can I leave this organization?

It seems that you are the only Global Administrator in the tenant and this could prevent the removal. The last global admin is not allowed to leave a tenant, thus the behavior is expected. If this is the situation, you can create another GA account and remove the other one.

If you cannot contact the organization what is the resolution?

it is not possible for my personal email address to be Global Admin. I am having this issue with my personal email address.

In Guest User scenario users are allowed to remove themselves from organizations they have been invited to and redeemed the invitation (Soft Delete). However, a guest user cannot leave an organization when their account is disabled either in the home or resource tenant which is known Limitation. Therefore, would request you to contact tenant admin to see if your account was disable by any chance? if so then the tenant admin need to either delete your account or enable it from resource tenant.

Thanks for this answer. It explains why I cannot leave the organisation of my previous customer.
It is surprising that I am not in full control of my own account. I was not aware of this bug and scrapping the organisation from my own account was the last step on my list. I never considered that I would not be able to delete an organisation on my own account...
