SSRS Report Windows File Share and Email are not working

Hello,

Sending of email or even the Windows File Share are not working for my SSRS reports. I noticed that the subscription I created is not executing to the date and time I set it up because the "Last Run On" column is still empty (see attached image). 174536-capture.png

I checked the logs and I keep getting this error even though my domain user account is already an Admin because that is what I use in SSRS. ( see attached image for the error).

Please help. I am really stuck here. :(

Thank you

    Hi @Desh ,
If you create and process the e-mail subscription by using a domain user account that is different from the service logon account of the Reporting Services Windows service, the AuthzInitializeContextFromSid API function call may fail. If the function call fails, you may have to configure the settings on the domain of the computer that is running Reporting Services to resolve the problem. You could refer to AuthzInitializeContextFromSid API function fails for details. I hope this will help you.

In addition, if above suggestions don't work. Could you please inform me more detailed error information in trace log(C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services\SSRS\LogFiles)?

    Best Regards,
    Joy

You got OS error 5 = "Access denied" and that means the SSRS service account don't have permissions to write to defined file share; you have to grant the required read/write permissions.

    Hi @Joyzhao-MSFT

If I change the service logon account in the Reporting Services Config Manager to SQL database user, will it work? Because I am using a SQL database user as my Report Server database credential (also in Reporting Services Config Manager) and also the same credential to the data source of my reports.

Please find the attached detailed error information from the trace log.

Many thanks and appreciate you helping me

    Hello @Olaf Helper

I am still using the built-in service account which is the "Virtual Service Account" in Reporting Services Config Manager. But the error I stated above is for the domain user account that I use which is already an Admin.
