When logged in with a regular account and choose to open a program with that requires admin credentials, the login/security prompt hides in background behind all other windows.

    Hello @Jason Jayko

This behavior has been reported by some failure to present over other layouts, and may be related to graphics driver (recommended to update to latest version from the website of the GPU manufacturer) or some missing Windows Updates, that may include a fix for this behavior (please install any pending updates)

On the other hand, if this doesn't fix the issue with the layout presentation, the workaround would be to change the UAC security level, that instead of dimming the environment it will force the UAC window on 1st place.

For this, access as Administrator user and then go from the Start menu > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts and click to Change User Account Control settings. Then move the slider bar to the 2nd position from the bottom, named "Notify me only when apps try to make changes to my computer (do not dim my desktop)."

Hope this helps with your query,

Run Windows Update and download and install all updates.

    Hello,

Suggest you to run System File Checker scan:

    1. Search for 'command prompt' using Cortana or Windows Search.
    2. From results, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
    3. Type sfc /scannow command and press Enter key.
    4. Let the command complete and then reboot the machine.

If issue still persists, perform clean boot:

I also recommend you to report this via Feedback hub app. You can launch the app by pressing Windows key + F.

    Regards.
