Why does Azure Data Studio (and SSMS) not honor my VPN IP address?

When I attempt to connect to an Azure Data Warehouse from Azure Data Studio (and SSMS) while on my corporate VPN the connection uses my ISP's IP address and not my VPN assigned IP address. How can we have the connection honor my VPN IP address?

Apologies for the delay in response. On Azure portal it is expected to see your ISP IP instead of VPN IP. To establish connection, you need to whitelist your VPN IP in the firewall configuration. Please let us know if you need further assistance in this issue.

Hi; would you mind providing a bit more information / specifics?

"whitelist your VPN IP in the firewall configuration".

I am not sure where I would do this configuration:

In azure data studio itself, telling it which of my networks to use?

in my local PC firewall?

Somehow in my VPN software configuration?

On my local router?

On my Azure Portal for the VM I want to connect to?

When I have my VPN running, and tried to connect to the Azure PostgreSQL server, the error message I got showed my non-VPN static IP address, not my VPN IP, so if the communication is going out from my computer bypassing my VPN, is there some configuration on my local computer I need to do to ensure that the Azure Data Studio is using the VPN, not just the regular connection?

I am working remotely so I am not on our corporate network.
