How do I recover "permanently deleted" files from a USB flash drive???

Help! I just accidentally clicked "yes" when prompted to permanently delete a couple of files from my USB flash drive. Please tell me there is a way to restore or recover these files! I just tried to restore a previous version, but I only ended up with a shortcut to the original version that I just deleted. Thank you in advance for any solutions.

    you can use freeware like recuva, pc inspector

    1. That was already suggested above.
    2. It won't work a year later.

    You can recover it with USB flash drive recovery software,if still its problematic then,visit any data recovery firm or consultancy.
