Dear Team,

Currently we face problem with Windows PowerShell Process Causing High CPU usage on windows 10 as snapshot.

Did you know what's source causing  and solutions to prevent this issue?

    Hello,

    You told your version is 1803.

    So I suggest you to install 1809 then we will explore furthermore if the issue persists

    Hello,

    1803 is obsolete ans Symantec protection may cause issues on W10.

    Run a scan with your antivirus

    Then

    Follow the method below to upgrade to Windows 10 version 1809, current version.

    Uninstall temporary but completely any third antivirus.

    Clean your drive using cleanmgr command in admin mode.

    Install Windows 10 version 1809 by downloading it from this page

    Anyway, I suggest you uninstall temporarly Symantec and I'm sure you will see CPU usage decrease

    Which version of Windows 10 is currently installed? See how to verify:

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: optionalfeatures.exe

    Hit Enter

    Scroll down to PowerShell

    Uncheck it

    Click OK

    Restart if prompted

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: optionalfeatures.exe

    Hit Enter

    Scroll down to PowerShell

    Check it

    Click OK

    Restart if prompted

    Check if it still causing high CPU usage.

    What is the exact version of W10 (winver command) ?

    What is your antivirus ?

    1- Right click on Start Button, then select "Windows PowerShell (admin)" or "Command Prompt (admin)"

    2- Now repair any damage in the system files, by running this commmand

    sfc /scannow

    3- Then restore the System Health by running this command

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
